Looking for a Medical Transcriptionist for independent contractor position. This is a work at home position, but you must live in the Atlanta or Athens area. In-office orientation for 3 to 6 days is required prior to working from home. EXPERIENCE is preferred. We are willing to talk to people who have completed an MT education but with little experience. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Grammar skills. Proofreading skills. Make corrections based on customer feedback. Finely tuned ears able to decipher garbled speech. Very strong computer skills using Microsoft Word, e-mail, chat, and research using Google and MT resources. High speed internet connection. Proof of current Medical Spellchecker software installed prior to beginning work. An ability to meet deadlines, deliver on promises, and WORK AROUND ALL personal and family commitments (since you are responsible for your own daily schedule as an independent contractor.) MUST commit to working 5 days a week. The Indepedent Contractor position has no benefits except the ability to work from home. ALL CONTRACTORS start at the same rate regardless of previous experience. Starting rate is 6 cents per line and increases soley based on the accuracy, quality, professionalism, and customer service you provide to us. Your pay rate is strictly based on performance. We do not pay based on any previous experience. A line is 65 characters including spaces, tabs, and carriage returns. Payment is monthly based on line count.
