MediaWiki Expertise Sought (Part-time) IBPSA-USA is seeking someone with solid MediaWiki expertise to provide part-time consulting support to refine, expand and maintain an existing domain-specific wiki - http://bembook.ibpsa.us. We estimate that 10%-20% time for the next 6 to 12 months, with possibility for extension of services. The wiki is intended to develop a compendium of the domain of building energy modeling (BEM) and to delineate a cohesive body of knowledge for BEM. The current wiki has a draft structure of topics plus some content, with more content available to be added. Key activities of the MediaWiki consultant will be to: 1. Set up and maintain multiple levels of accessibility for a small team of administrators / editors, plus a large team of volunteers who will be contributing content, plus input from interested parties in the US and worldwide. 2. Refine the structure of the wiki to allow for user-generated structure of pages, while not eliminating the topical structure defined in the navigation panel of the current wiki. 3. Protect the wiki from spam attacks. 4. Assist the editorial / admin team to maintain the quality of the site's content, while allowing users to add and edit materials. IBPSA-USA is the United States regional affiliate of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA). The mission of IBPSA-USA is to advance and promote the science of building simulation in order to improve the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of new and existing buildings in the United States.
