Web Developer and Google Keyword Optimization Due to the overwhelming response to our initial post, all applicants must visit http://www.trunity.net/WebDevelopment/ to apply. We are looking to build out multiple websites/lead generation systems for the real estate investment space. As an example, one website is an automated lead generation site that needs to be built and maintained to achieve organic google front page keyword status for certain nationwide keyword searches and to automatically send lead information to our emails. The second project is the development of a much larger website with rich content build-out, blog, web 2.0 capabilities, extranet, and flexibility for certain aspects to be adjusted on an ongoing basis by non-programmers (such as new blog entries, old blog edits, uploading new content, etc.). The second project is fairly intensive and there are multiple projects beyond this that will need to be built out as well, so if the first few projects/stages go well, we will be considering a transition from project-only to full time development. Initially, this will be a project-oriented position and telecommuting is fine. As this is a telecommuting position, all applicants must have high-speed internet access. If we like your work on the first projects, we have MANY more behind these and would entertain full-time compensation with benefits. Are you a recent Computer Science college grad, or a web developer-hobbyist looking for some paid part time web development experience? We are looking for one or more bright, reliable, personable web developers with initiative and a sense of humor to do a wide variety of small (and not so small) projects for our internet-based software-as-a-service firm. You would work from your home, generally about 5 hours per week, during the day or evening on IT projects to enhance or improve our website and software. The applications all involve Microsoft web and database technologies, including ASP, ASP.Net, C#, HTML, SQLServer, Access and other technologies such as Crystal Reports and Javascript. Our web applications were originally started back in 1997, and some of the applications have evolved over the years, so there are a number of different technologies and projects. Some of the projects may also involve some technical support for our Windows-based web servers located in Philadelphia. Some of the current projects include: • Making changes to our website (HTML, CSS, ASP, maybe some Flash) • Enhancing our application software (ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server) • Porting / migrating older ASP and applications on our website to ASP.NET • Developing internal ASP.NET applications for our internal staff • Writing / editing reports using crystal reports • Other projects related to our web servers and internal support applications You would need to have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, be able to work independently and have absolute integrity and honesty. You will need to have excellent programming skills and coding experience in several of the technologies we need supported. Then he'll call you to ask you to do a few changes here and there to other sites and then not offer you any money for your effort. Like I said, he's a nice enough guy, but he offers gulag pay so he can send his wife to get her nails done. |

The current Syntactica publishing application provides a dynamic publishing service to public web sites. We are extending the existing application to create an enterprise dynamic publishing solution to meet a growing market for book and media publishers to manage and publish ‘born XML’ documents into multiple printed and eBook formats. Job Description: Architect, design and develop technical solutions that meet product requirements with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability. Drive technical designs to consensus and approval by Product and Business teams. Design and develop enterprise solutions for specific publishing needs that provide frameworks, interfaces and services that can be extended and reused for future requirements. Provide realistic implementation schedules while adhering to company’s architectural standards and principles. Create new features on top of the core code to support additional publishing requirements for editorial and contract management, generate productization of the core code and certification of the open-source stack, integrate other third-party open-source technologies such as workflow and security management as needed, and create administrative interfaces. Required: • BS in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 9 years of application development experience or MS in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 7 years of application development experience • Knowledge and experience with XML DBMSs (eXist, Mark Logic, Berkeley XML DB) • Implementation experience with XML technologies: XQuery, XSLT, XPATH, DOM, SAX, JAXP, XSD, and XML parsers and tools • Implementation expertise in xHTML, DHTML, AJAX, CSS, JavaScript, and Perl • Implementation experience of open source Enterprise Content Management Systems (alfresco, drupal, subversion) and search engines (Lucene, SOLR) • Provide technical leadership (Architecture, Design, Development oversight) and team leadership (planning, collaboration, conflict resolution, driving results) for medium (12 staff-month) to large (>30 staff-month) sized projects • Familiarity with dynamic publishing metadata standards such as TEI and DITA. • Follow and create development processes required for efficient, effective, and repeatable implementations.
