Live Online EFL/ESL Program VLE (formerly Language Development Systems) and the Korean National Education Service (EBS-http://www.ebs.co.kr/index.jsp) are working on a joint educational project that is redefining education in South Korea. This project utilizes video conferencing technology to connect certified U.S. teachers with South Korean public school students living in rural, underserved areas. We are currently looking to expand this project and we need passionate, certified educators to meet the growing demand for our services. Here are some more details about the position. Payment -$15/hr - Since this is a part-time job, you will be hired as an independent contractor Teacher Qualifications - State teaching certification (substitute teaching license is acceptable too) Other Requirements - High speed internet connection (direct connection to router must be available) - Equipment for internet teaching (web camera, headset/microphone) - Computer with at least 2.5 GHZ processing speed (a test will be done to see if your computer and connection are compatible with Korea) -Windows PC with IE Explorer 7 or higher Time - Sunday-Thursday (2-5 times/week) - Possible working hours-9pm-2am Possible Shifts-9pm-1230am and 12-130am PST shifts -We also have other opportunities available if you want more hours for early mornings and evening shifts (Samsung, Korean Education Channel, and many other opportunities) - Approximately 4 months (August 23-middle December) Location -You can work from anywhere you have access to a high-speed internet connection. Students -You will teach English to South Korean public school students in rural, underserved areas. There are also other programs in which you may have the opportunity to teach adult students. Curriculum/Training -Curriculum and training will be provided for you. The curriculum has been developed to meet the Korean national standards for English education.
