Graphic Artist and Product Photography Work Established local business has built a beautiful new e-commerce web site, and tested it out with great results. Now we need help photographing items, preparing manufacturer-provided images, and creating banner graphics for display on the site. Times are tough, and we're on a tight budget, so this is a part-time position, at least for now (16 to 32 hours a week). However, we have many thousands of items we’d like to sell on line. The sooner we get more items up and selling the more sales potential our site will have. But if you’re good, and we like each other, this could become an opportunity to join a great, growing company that is going places. Candidates will have: - good previous work experience - ability to work in a customer-centric environment with people who have high standards and expectations (this is not a good place for slackers). - some experience with Photoshop and other tools to produce web site images and graphics - either pre-existing photographic skills or at a least a willingness to learn a little and do the work (we have our own “studio” and equipment) - excellent reliability Job duties will include: - creating and editing web ready product images that include a combination of photography and graphics - working with others to produce guidelines and procedures for outsourced workers to follow so they can produce large quantities of simple images (we have many thousands of images to produce) - ability to create good quality banner graphics for our site Job benefits include: - flexible schedule - possible option to telecommute and work from home Pay rate is $16.00/hour to start. Do great work, make yourself indispensable, and we’ll be open to increasing that significantly. Also note that we’re looking to grow this enterprise into a big business (our primary competitor sells $100 million a year worth of these same products – but our site is much better and easier to use). So we’re hoping that we will be doing some serious hiring in the near future. Come help us “get there’ more quickly, and just maybe they’ll be a full-time spot for you on the team, if you want one. Or at least a nice steady part-time gig. Send a brief summary of your work experience (or resume if you have one) along with a brief note about your relevant skills and the reasons we simply must hire you to job.opportunity2010@gmail.com. Please note what job position you are seeking – we are running three different help-wanted add right now. |
